August Hatecke was appointed Head of UBS Wealth Management South East Asia in April 2016 and Head of UBS Wealth in June 2017. August previously served as UBS Head of Ultra High Net Worth and Global Family Office Switzerland based in Zurich where he was responsible for managing the needs of wealthy clients in Switzerland.

August started his career with the Investment Banking arm of SBC O'Connor Warburg Dillon Read (the fore-runner to UBS) in 1994 before moving to Private Banking where he was working on Active Advisory, Portfolio Management, Treasury and Execution. He was with Credit Suisse AG for the period 2001-2010 where he headed teams in Private Banking Switzerland, Investment Services and Products as well as Trading and Sales. Since returning to UBS in 2010, he has been responsible for the Ultra High Net Worth and Global Family Office business for UBS Switzerland AG.

August holds a Master Degree in Economics from the University of Zurich.

Masthead Susan Sy

Susan Sy is the Head of Philanthropy Advisory, South East Asia of UBS AG based in Singapore. In her role as philanthropy advisor, she assists Ultra High Net Worth individuals and families realize their philanthropic aspirations. She advises clients on strategic giving, structuring legacy vehicles and maximizing impact through philanthropic giving and investments.

Susan has over 10 years of experience in the area of philanthropy, partnership development, grant making and project management. Susan started her career in marketing and sales with Warner Bros Consumer Products and later joined Time Warner Group as part of the pioneer team who established the International Relations and Public Policy office based in Hong Kong. While with Time Warner, Susan developed and implemented the corporate giving strategy in Asia. She was Vice President of Corporate Citizenship Asia Pacific with Credit Suisse and was responsible in sourcing, reviewing, evaluating and reporting projects from charity partners in Asia. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Henry Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa and graduate of RMIT University where she majored in Business Management and Marketing.

Eric is the Head of UBS Family Advisory practice in Asia Pacific. With almost two decades of experience in working with families globally and in Asia on legacy planning topics, he has a deep understanding of family and family business systems.

Eric's focus lies in helping families design and implement their bespoke family governance and decision making frameworks and document these in a family constitution, covering topics such as business ownership and management succession, next generation leadership development as well as family communication.

As part of his extensive advisory work, he also helps families put in place a long term strategy and the necessary structures to grow their wealth beyond operating businesses. In this capacity, he typically guides families through strategic and operational considerations for the setup of their family office.

Eric has held positions in Zurich, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Finance from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is a member of the Family Firm Institute, Boston, Massachusetts and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Eric is a passionate collector of antiques and contemporary art.

Christina Tung has been with UBS Global Wealth Management Hong Kong for 11 years. She is the Head of Family and Philanthropy Advisory, Asia-pacific, a dedicated advisory unit that advises UHNW families and individuals on family legacy creation.

On Family Advisory, we engage with intergenerational families on business and family succession matters and next generation leadership development. On Philanthropy Advisory, we advise families and individuals to conceive, set up and monitor effective philanthropic vehicles; develop, manage, monitor, assess and report on charitable programs; and engage in sustainable and impact investing.

Christina has extensive experience in advising UHNW individuals and foundations on their philanthropic initiatives and a breadth of experience in working with a wide range of charitable organizations and social entrepreneurs to expand the impact of philanthropy in Asia. Christina currently serves as a board member of CNEX Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. CNEX is devoted to preserving cultures of Chinese communities, in the forms of visual and audio documentaries. Christina is also an advisor to We Are One Ten, a social enterprise aims at strengthening the warrior mindset of young people in Hong Kong through the power of exercise.

Prior to UBS, Christina held diverse positions in both business and non-profit sectors for 10 years. She has experience in philanthropy program, development, event management, marketing and communications.

She holds a Master degree in Communication Management from University of Southern California and a Bachelor degree in Law from University of London. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Tracey was appointed Vice Chairman, Asia Pacific, Wealth Management, UBS AG in July 2016. She was until recently Vice Chairman of Citibank ASEAN Corporate and Investment Banking, encompassing Investment Banking for South East Asia, as well as Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions practice, Global Transaction Services and Global Subsidiaries Group for Singapore.

Tracey has more than 35 years of investment banking experience having worked on a whole spectrum of corporate finance transactions from equity fund raising (IPOs, equity placements and rights issues) to debt offerings to advisory work, including takeovers of public companies in Singapore and ASEAN.

Tracey holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the National University of Singapore. She was also conferred 2016 IBF Distinguished Fellow Award.

Graça Machel is an African stateswoman whose professional life is rooted in international advocacy for women and children's rights.

Machel works through several regional and international development bodies to accelerate social change. Machel is a founding member of The Elders. She is a member of the UN Secretary-General's SDG Advocacy Group and sits on the High-Level Group for Every Woman Every Child. She is the Board Chair of PMNCH, the Africa Child Policy Forum, African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes, and the Mandela Institute for Development Studies. Machel is a Board Member of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and Education Above All.

She founded and serves as President of the Foundation for Community Development and the Zizile Institute for Child Development. She founded the Graça Machel Trust in 2010 where she focuses on child protection and development, women's economic and financial empowerment, food security and nutrition, leadership and governance.

Masthead Hannes Schmid

Born in Zurich in 1946, Hannes Schmid is today one of the most important photo-artists in Switzerland. Continuing journeys took him around the world, where he developed his own characteristic visual language as an advertising, fashion and freelance photographer, characterized by personal ties to the objects. Hannes Schmid achieved worldwide fame with his staging of the iconic cowboy - the Marlboro Man. Legendary, is his collection of over 70,000 photos of the biggest rock stars.

In more recent times, Hannes Schmid has also attracted attention with his photographs and photorealistic art. And since 2012 he has been involved in humanitarian activities for children and families in Cambodia, one of the poorest countries in the world, with the non-profit association Smiling Gecko (www.smilinggecko.ch)

Hannes Schmid is recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich, in recognition of his exemplary commitment and work towards the families in Cambodia.

Vi Sun is the Market Head for Indonesia, High Net Worth (HNW) segment. She is also a member of the Singapore Local Management Committee and an active steering committee member for the Global Service Model pilot for Singapore, the Entrepreneur segment initiative for APAC, and the Risk Culture Program for APAC.

Vi Sun has over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She formerly led desks for Singapore and Indonesia, managing a team of client advisors and client advisor assistants responsible for client portfolio and wealth management. During her time with Singapore, she was the Singapore segment lead for the healthcare industry segment, responsible for business development and event initiatives. In addition, she has an extensive advisory experience with non-profit organizations and private institutions in investment portfolio construction and implementation.

Vi Sun graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours degree in 1995. In 2017, she received a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the University of Rochester, William E Simon School of Business and a Master of Advance Studies in Finance from the University of Bern.

Christoph Benn is the Director of External Relations at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in Geneva. He has been a member of the founding board at the creation of the Global Fund in 2002. As Director of External Relations since 2003 he has been responsible for mobilizing the financial resources for the Global Fund through the management of its regular replenishment cycles and spearheading innovative approaches to resource mobilization including (Product) RED and Debt2Health. Under his leadership the Global Fund has mobilized pledges and contributions of more than USD 50 billion. He has extensive experience in managing political relations with governments and establishing partnerships with Civil Society and the Private Sector.

Christoph is a physician with an MD from the University of Giessen (Germany), a Diploma in Tropical Medicine&Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

David Sin is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Fullerton Health Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to make education and healthcare in Asia more affordable and accessible. David is a champion of health and education equality, believing that these twin levers will make a world of difference for the underprivileged. He has been instrumental in developing partnerships with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria ("Global Fund"), Doctors Without Borders and the Shared Value Project, to augment impact and improve health outcomes for disadvantaged communities in Asia.

David also serves as the Co-Founder, Group President and Deputy Chairman of Fullerton Healthcare Corporation, and the CEO of SIN Capital Group. He is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (2018) and a member of the Harvard Business School Global Leaders Circle.

David holds a B.A. in accounting and finance from Manchester University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Prior to his appointment in 2015. Melvyn was the CEO of Serge Pun & Associates (Myanmar) Limited, which is the parent company of Yoma Bank and First Myanmar Investment, the first company listed on the Yangon Stock Exchange. Prior to joining SPA, Melvyn spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he was Managing Director, Head of Asia Ex-Japan Corporate Solutions Group.

Ms.Thippaporn is the Chairperson of Buddharaksa Foundation and DT Families Foundation. Under her guidance, these foundations ensured quality education to thousands of underprivileged children in Thailand and beyond for more than two decades. They are also involved in regional environmental conservation through projects such as Bhutan for Life and supporting Malaria elimination initiatives in Mae-Kong sub-region in partnership with GlobalFund.

Ms Thippaporn has been awarded the "Woman who makes a difference - Philanthropy" by Thailand Tatler in 2011, "Real Estate Personality Award" by Thailand Property in 2012, and "1 of 48 Philanthropy Heroes" by Forbes Asia in 2014. In 2013, he founded billionBricks, a non-profit that innovates shelters for the homeless and vulnerable that are scalable, sustainable, and able to create opportunities for communities to emerge out of poverty. WeatherHYDE is an insulated, reversible, lightweight and women-friendly emergency shelter designed to save lives of the homeless in extreme weather. Ashton Kutcher called it, 'innovation at its finest' when its social media campaign went viral with over 40 million views. PowerHYDE is world's first solar home for the homeless which produces enough energy to pay for itself. Since founding billionBricks has rehabilitated more than 3,800 homeless and disaster-stricken people in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, United States and Europe.

A TEDx speaker, chosen as one of Urban Land Institute's 40 under 40, Prasoon has won numerous global awards for his work. He graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and an Outstanding Graduate Award for the year 2005.

Julian founded Jaga-Me to alleviate the challenges he saw amongst the elderly persons he volunteered among. His passion is to harness innovation to reduce the barriers to having healthcare delivered on-demand to people's homes, and so reduce reliance on institutional care homes.

Prior to Jaga-Me, Julian was responsible for securing new foreign direct investment and creating new industries at the Singapore Economic Development Board. This included securing our pioneer investments in next-gen biotechnology, as well as in introducing corporate innovation as an opportunity for MNCs and startups to create value in Singapore.

While based in the USA, Julian was a technical project manager at Synapse Product Development, a Seattle-based innovation consultancy working on skunkworks concepts for Fortune 500 clients, such as Disney. While in Silicon Valley, Julian was a client engineer at social SaaS startup, Gigya (acquired by SAP).

Mint Lim is the Founder and Director of the School of Concepts, an enrichment school and budding social enterprise. The school pioneers a phonics-based literacy and unique play-based curriculum that has helped hundreds of non-native English speaking children learn to read, write and spell confidently.

Mint's personal mission is to empower all children, regardless of their socio-economic background. 30% of the School's resources go to supporting and teaching children-at-risk. Prior to the School, Ms Lim found success in running and managing tuition and enrichment centres, during which she realized the urgent need for quality and effective early intervention, especially for children from less privileged backgrounds, and the importance of introducing literacy in a fun and accessible way to young, impressionable children.

She hopes to reach out to even more children in need through heavily subsidised programmes with the support of corporate companies which want to give back to the community.

David Pong is the CEO of WateROAM, a water innovation enterprise that develops highly portable water filtration systems to provide communities in rural and disaster-hit regions with rapid access to clean and affordable drinking water. These systems are built to be deployable through simple setup procedures, and are distributed in a manner to promote social change. Since 2014, WateROAM has delivered clean water through partner NGOs to more than 30,000 people across 14 countries in Asia including Cambodia, Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Nepal. In 2016, the social enterprise was recognized by the United Nations as the global Young Leader representative for Sustainable Development Goal 6 - Water & Sanitation.

Eddie Gan leads a team of more than 80 staff, including 50 client advisors and desk heads who focus on servicing the broad range of complex financial, investment and business needs of the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Singapore based clientele.

He has over 29 years of banking experience, in various roles such as corporate banker financing real estate projects in Singapore and client advisor/team head for private banking/wealth management.

Prior to UBS, he worked as a team head managing client advisors covering South East Asia clientele and as a client advisor for North Asia clientele in various top tier private banks.

He has been conferred as an IBF Fellow by the Institute of Banking and Finance in 2017 in recognition of his tenure in the industry and his demonstration of mastery of a profession and thought leadership and commitment to industry development.

Serial entrepreneur turned Serial Social Entrepreneur

Jack retired at 40 from active commerce to devote full time on solving social challenges at exponential scale. He founded World Toilet Organisation in 2001 and transformed the sanitation agenda from taboo to global media darling leveraging public policy changes and toilets revolutions worldwide especially in India and China, bringing the total number of toilets to 2.4 billion. The Founding day of World Toilet Organisation (19 Nov) was also unanimously adopted by all 193 nations as the UN World Toilet Day.

He also founded BOP HUB to transform the 4 billion Base of Pyramid into an efficient marketplace connecting proven business solutions to the poverty population. A $10 million BOP Design Centre in Singapore is also under construction as the de facto World Trade Centre for the Poor.

The partnership with DSM which he created as a startup to provide nutrition in rice for migrant workers attracted $1.1 million investment so far.

Helen Hai is the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Goodwill Ambassador for industrialization in Africa. She is the CEO of the Made in Africa Initiative which advises African government for industrialization and investment promotion. Ambassador Hai is Co-Founder of C&H Garments, which is a pioneer Pan-Africa export-oriented garments manufacturer. She is also heading the Binance Charity Foundation for sustainable development using Blockchain.

Ambassador Hai was trained as an actuary in the United Kingdom with near 25 years of international experience in FTSE100 companies. She has BA in actuarial science and MSc in actuarial management from CASS Business School in London and EMBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University. She had executive education at both Harvard University and UC Berkeley.

Ambassador Hai was named a 2015 Global Young Leader by World Economic Forum, and she is co-chair of the Global Future Council on the Future of Consumption for World Economics Forum. She received the 2015 African Business Icon Award, and awarded as Officer of the National Order of Lion of Senegal in 2016. Ambassador Hai was named 2017 Wu Fellow by UC Berkeley, she was named Global Visionary by UBS and 2018 Aspen Fellow by Aspen Institute.

She is on the committee of United Nations Global Commission on Business and Sustainable Development.

In an illustrious career spanning more than four decades, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah AO built a business empire, provided employment for tens of thousands of Malaysians, generated copious revenues for the federal and state governments and local authorities, transformed education, gave away hundreds of million Ringgit in philanthropy, promoted national unity and burnished "Brand Malaysia" globally in property development, infrastructure building, and provides quality service inter alia, in health and a better quality of life in Sunway townships and residences.

And he is not finished yet. At the age of 72, he has now become a champion of the sustainable development agenda in the region -- dedicating his life in service to future generations in an effort to build an even better Malaysia and ASEAN.

James Gifford is Head of Impact Investing in the Chief Investment Office at UBS Wealth Management, working with the bank's clients, advisers and product specialists to develop fund strategies and mobilise capital into impact investing.

He is also a Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth at the University of Zurich and teaches a programme at the Harvard Kennedy School on impact investing for the next generation of ultra-high-net-worth family members. He was the founding executive director of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment and led the organisation from inception in 2003 until 2013.

Dr Gifford has published numerous articles and book chapters on responsible investment. He has a PhD from the University of Sydney on the effectiveness of shareholder engagement in improving corporate environmental and social performance, degrees in commerce and law, and a master's degree in environment management. He has been recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Mario is heading the Sustainable Investing Advisory for Asia-Pacific since January 2015. Working for UBS Wealth Management since 2001, Mario relocated to Hong Kong in early 2013 to establish the Hong Kong presence of the UBS Optimus Foundation, a professional grant-making foundation that helps UBS clients in funding and managing projects benefitting underprivileged children around the world.

Grace Forrest is a founding director of the Walk Free Foundation, an international human rights group with an objective to end modern slavery. Underpinned by research, the Walk Free Foundation uses direct engagement with business, government, faiths and grass roots intervention to drive systems change from the top down and ground up.

Grace has spent extensive time working in South East Asia and the Middle East, using photography and storytelling to share the stories of survivors of modern slavery, with a current focus on refugee communities. She regularly represents the Walk Free Foundation at international forums, including recent events at the Vatican and United Nations.

She is also a director of the Minderoo Foundation, recently joined the board of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue and previously worked at the Legatum Institute as a research analyst on global people movement.

Masthead Wendy O'Neill

Wendy O'Neill is Chairman of the Asian Cultural Council where she has been a trustee since 2009, and Chairman of the Rockefeller Philanthropic Advisors where she has been a trustee since 2010. She is also a trustee of the China Medical Board since 2006. She served as a trustee of the Rockefeller Brothers' Fund between 2005-2014, and was a member of American Women's Association of Hong Kong's Charitable Donations Committee between 2001-09 serving as its chairman for three years.

She received an A.B. from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges in East Asian Studies and a M.A. from UCLA in History with a specialty in Chinese History. She has worked in China trade as well as investment and was the first foreign intern at China International Trust & Investment Company.
